President El-Sisi: Egypt is currently full of huge investment opportunities

Today, Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated, via video conference, in a high-level meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian-American Business Council, with the participation of heads of boards of directors and senior officials of a number of major international American companies.

And in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, and Nevin Jamea, Minister of Trade and Industry.

Ambassador Bassam Rady, spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the President welcomed this important meeting, which embodies the spirit of cooperation and solid friendship between Egypt and the United States, and affirmed Egypt’s keenness to continue to create an attractive climate for American investments to contribute to supporting the economic development process in Egypt. Through the partnership with major American companies to make the best use of the currently promising investment opportunities in Egypt.

The President also stressed that the qualitative shift that Egypt recently witnessed in the various economic and development sectors reflects the strong and ambitious will of the state to achieve sustainable development, which is reflected in the increase in foreign investments in various sectors that are currently abundant with many diverse investment opportunities, supported by the political decision. At the highest level, to implement projects in all areas of development that represent an equal priority for the state’s efforts.

The participants also praised the keen personal follow-up of the president to the measures taken to facilitate the work of foreign and American companies in Egypt, and the continuous development and growth and the remarkable solidity in the Egyptian economy, supported by the efforts and measures adopted by the Egyptian government to accelerate the development process, especially with the measures taken to improve the investment environment. And its encouragement, and the implementation of many mega national projects, which is what currently presents Egypt on the international scene as a model, a success story to emulate and an important development partner.

The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the President and the heads of the boards of directors of various American companies, who confirmed their welcome to intensify commercial and economic cooperation with Egypt to achieve the common interests of both sides, while reviewing their future plans to invest in Egypt or expand their existing projects, as the President affirmed Egypt’s keenness on continuous communication with Egypt. Investors to develop prospects for joint cooperation with the United States, as well as to identify any problems or obstacles they may face, and work to solve them and overcome all obstacles before them.

It is worth noting that the meeting included a number of directors and senior officials of the most prominent American international companies in various fields, especially Apache, Bechtel, Honeywell, Uber, Lockheed Martin, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Google, MasterCard, Pepsi, and Hilton Group.
