Led by Sisi Ammar O Egypt

Most of us may not have visited the “Jamaliyya neighborhood,” but we know it well. The prince of the Arabic novel, Naguib Mahfouz and the Nobel Prize winner in literature, inspired many of his creations from this neighborhood – who is also his son. We have shared with the people of this neighborhood through the archive of various details of life, the popular café, the “Jadana” of the neighborhood’s youth, and the fragrant and strange stories in the ancient Cairo alleys. We also have the right to share with the people of this neighborhood their happiness and optimism with the arrival of his son Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to the Egyptian presidency, for this reason and many other reasons, especially that this region is distinguished from others by the love of its people for trade, but most of them generate merchants by nature, which was reflected in their whole behavior, not the merchants Not only, but even the intellectuals, the military and the politicians as well, and that is why you will find them meticulous in dealing, skilled in negotiation, and able to achieve and succeed in their own affairs, and in the place where they work or the party for which they work.

Like these days seven years ago, I arrived at Cairo airport at eight in the morning, and officers from the Ministry of Defense met me. We went quickly to the ministry and arrived at half past nine, to host us Major General Abbas, with his joyful face and his constant smile and a cup of coffee, in preparation for the start of the meeting with the Minister of Defense At exactly ten o’clock, and indeed, the Field Marshal came to us without delaying again, so I asked him immediately after we exchanged greetings about the importance of time for him? He was surprised at the question, but I made it clear to him that I paid attention to his coming to the meeting at the exact time, and this is about to become rare for officials in Egypt, whether in these days, or even in the days of President Mubarak. The Marshal took my question seriously, and explained to me that the position in which he is now is a great assignment, for the whole of Egypt and for all of it, so he must do his duty to the fullest, and not waste any minute because time is no longer his time, but rather belongs to all Egyptians, and he will not Exports even a second of it.

From these words, I felt that I was facing a man who was completely different from the Egyptians I had met over the past twenty years, and I realized the signs of a new Egyptian approach entitled work, commitment and achievement, within the planned times and at the highest levels of quality.

As our meeting continued, the Field Marshal drew my attention to the meticulousness of his words, the definition of his questions, and the intensity of his focus in every little and every major, until I almost felt trapped in the details in front of a man who was not ready to waste his time and the time of his country. In return, I worked to make my answers fast, accurate and clear, and earned his confidence that I could truly do the mission for which we were gathered to achieve Egypt’s future aspirations. The field marshal seemed enthusiastic about the project that I presented that day, then he started talking to me about what Egypt needs, he was familiar with many details, as if he was reading from an open book, and as the meeting ended and the Field Marshal left, one of his assistants said, Did you know that our meeting lasted five hours? So I said, but four hours and forty-one minutes, then he said enthusiastically: Do you want us to continue the meeting, so that we can start discussing the implementation plans? I replied, apologizing for giving me the opportunity for tomorrow morning, because despite the wonderful flavor of guava juice, which almost never left the meeting table, it will not give me even a small lunch anymore. And that was, so we met on the second day since nine in the morning, and our meeting included two teams with a high degree of positivity, and on that day, I closely confirmed the extraordinary impression of President Sisi and his team.

This field marshal has become the president of Egypt today. As for his method and style, it is still as I knew them for the first time. Rather, they have become more firm and clear, and as Sisi is almost completing his seventh year as president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is the least period in which it can be said that it is “years of achievement.” In various levels, security, political, economic and social, he was able to put Egypt on the path of progress and construction, and after years of chaos, instability and polarization, he returned to it to take its rightful place again, and to play its unique role on the Arab and international levels.

On the security level, Field Marshal Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is the son of the Egyptian military establishment, and it is known to be the oldest institution in Egypt, and that the Egyptian army is the oldest and most numerous armies in the region, and the fight against terrorism is not new for the Egyptian president, as he began to fight extremist organizations since he was Minister of Defense And when he became the president and supreme commander of the armed forces, he achieved major achievements in this regard, and continued to perform the task after assuming the helm of the leadership of the Egyptian state, especially as he reached the presidency at a very delicate stage in Egypt’s history, and the region as well, where the Muslim Brotherhood was exploiting The mobility of the Arab peoples demanding freedom, justice, security and peace, in order to gain power and achieve the suspicious goals of “political Islam”.

The arrival of a person like Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to the Egyptian presidency was a response to the Egyptian people’s revolution against this group, and all the extremism it represents, and the system of alliances that it wanted to include Egypt in, based solely on the expansionist approach of political Islam, and giving precedence to the interests of the group and its external allies over The supreme interest of Egypt and the Egyptians.

Despite this urgent challenge that Sisi faced before and with his accession to the presidency, the man did not neglect the existence of another challenge, no less important or urgent, which is the challenge of rebuilding the state, its policies, international relations, its economy, and its social and developmental structures.

Former US President Donald Trump said during his meeting with President Sisi in September 2019 that the latter had succeeded in achieving order and security inside the country since he took office, and the Russian Valdai Dialogue Forum published an article by one of his experts saying that Sisi: “He has pushed the Egyptian-Russian relations to a level other than It was preceded by a strategic partnership. ”As for the official Chinese news agency, Xinhua, it stated that“ Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is witnessing political and security stability and economic and developmental success, ten years after the “January 25 Revolution” 2011. ”

These opinions and others gain their credibility from the reality of action and achievement at the level of Egypt. President Al-Sisi has been able to expand the range of international support for the ancient state to include, in addition to the United States, many of the main partners, including the Arab Gulf states, Israel, Russia, China, France and Italy, reproducing A reliable and welcome image of Egypt on the international scene, ensuring that Egypt dismantles the cordon of isolation that resulted from the rise of political Islam in it, in order to restore the signs of a bright future for the younger generations in Egypt, especially on the economic level.

The Egyptian President has started a series of mega projects since he came to power, including, for example, the expansion of the Suez Canal with a value of 8 billion dollars and the creation of a new administrative capital outside Cairo … The Egyptian state was able, thanks to the bold reforms that took place under President Sisi, to achieve a boom in rates Economic growth, which reached 5.6% in 2019, compared to 1.8% during 2010-2011, up from 3% when Sisi was sworn in as president in 2014, to be third in the world ranking, after China and India, in the “Economist” periodic list of world countries. According to economic growth rates. Likewise, inflation decreased to 2.7% in November 2019, the lowest level since the 2011 revolution. Egypt has also implemented the largest public budget in its history for the fiscal year 2019/2020, as the volume of its expenditures reached 1.6 trillion pounds, an increase of 150 billion pounds over the 2018 budget. 2019. Despite the global distress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic caused by the emerging coronavirus, Egypt maintained a good economic growth rate of 3.8% last year.

On the other hand, President El-Sisi is aware of the obstacles that stand in his way and the challenges facing him at the economic level. He knows that poverty levels in the country are high, for example, and that unemployment rates among Egyptian youth are high, but he is working to change this reality on the ground. The example in the “National Youth Conference” series is Sisi’s idea that he paid all his attention to. His previous sessions were held under his patronage and attendance, and with his active participation in most issues of the conference’s agenda.

On a parallel level, Sisi does not miss any opportunity to communicate with his people, so he always informs them in interviews, speeches and meetings about new developments and even challenges, as they are his business partners, and he cannot achieve his goals without them. In a study published by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, I tracked President Sisi’s tweets on Twitter for six months in a row, and found that his public speech included at least one of the following four ideas:

  1. Praise the Egyptian people for their accomplishments, but with an emphasis on the need to overcome religious, social and ideological differences to preserve these achievements.
  1. The will of the Egyptians legitimizes the president’s decisions. It works for a more transparent and open society by fighting corruption and frankly discussing current problems with citizens.
  1. Infrastructure and foreign investment are the keys to advancing economic development. The president aims to extend the benefits of economic growth to all Egyptians, especially the most vulnerable sections of society.
  1. Powerful forces, including international jihadists, are working to derail Egypt’s future. These forces can only be confronted by maintaining national unity and through popular support for the security forces.

Indeed, there are mighty forces lying in wait in Egypt, led by the Muslim Brotherhood and the countries of political Islam that support them, but the Egyptian army is alert, and Sisi has repeatedly reassured his people that the Egyptian army is “capable of defending national security inside and outside the borders of the homeland.” However, despite this, the political leadership is still determined to present an image of Egypt as the country that seeks peace, is ready to mediate in resolving the conflict in the region, supports peace agreements between the Arabs and Israel and encourages the Palestinians themselves to go this way, and invites them to adopt the Egyptian model of peacemaking. In order to reach a compromise that guarantees security and stability in the region, and thus development and prosperity. That is why the Egyptian President always emphasizes the direct link between peace and economic well-being, and calls on everyone to take the initiative to spread the message of peace by all means available to them: media, art, social media, and others.

Since Sisi took over the presidency of the country, Egyptian politics has been based on nine basic principles, namely: openness – transparency and public popular dialogue – inclusiveness of construction in all fields (economy, politics, art, culture, and education) – the state’s strength from the strength of its institutions – limiting excessive costs and fighting corruption – supporting Education in cities and villages – an open and pluralistic economy – the strength of the military establishment – the future depends on the youth.

The Egyptian President and his political administration know that Egypt is the history that records the names of his men, and that preserving it is a general humanitarian message, and that protecting it is a duty and trust, especially since it is today on the brink of destruction because of the outsiders of the era who do not want good for Egypt or its people, so Sisi did not have to Except to follow the method of firmness, determination, honesty and frankness, so that Egypt can face its crises and embark on the path of development and development in the footsteps of the “Sisi” method that the president is leading the country today, adopting a special and different methodology compared to previous Egyptian leaders, and I happened to later read a book entitled Putinism, talking about President Vladimir Putin’s approach to managing the Russian state, ridding it of corruption and the clutches of the mafia that was controlling the joints of the country, moving it from poverty and chaos to a state of stability and restoring its position as a great global power, and found a great similarity between them, for each of the two leaders was influenced by the approach of the Arab philosopher Ibn Khaldun Who believes that the management of political affairs in the state should aim to achieve the interests and happiness of its individuals.

A friend told me not long ago that he asked President Sisi how satisfied he was with what he had accomplished during the years of his rule, and he answered in the dear accent of the people of the country: (What are the achievements? We are not, O Dub, we start), and he made it clear to me that there is no answer to this question before it is fulfilled on The land has a solid infrastructure, a competitive investment environment, improving the monthly income of all Egyptians, and adopting an integrated health insurance system and a fair pension system. Therefore, he insisted that his battle will continue for the sake of Egypt, and that he will not feel the achievement until all Egyptians obtain their right to comfort, stability and prosperity, and when the Egyptian youth are able to lead, innovate and lead the wheel of development, and be able to represent Egypt to compete on the global level, I smiled at that time because I know his answer Already.

Today, Egyptians are meeting behind their leadership and goal of the full-fledged state, and the achievement of its goals in politics, economy and society, so that a strong Egypt returns to its pivot in the equations of the Middle East and the Arab world, and regains the role of mediator capable of solving crises, proposing solutions and building peace in the region, and its long history and legacy are reflected. The ancient civilization grew and developed, so that the “mother of the world” after its failure as a “mother of our religion” again
