Egypt granted a license to use a new Chinese vaccine, “Corona Vacc”, while the Egyptian government directed to “intensify surveillance and inspection campaigns on cafes, shops and public places to apply precautionary measures to prevent (Corona emerging) virus and take all legal measures against violators.”

The Egyptian Medicines Authority announced, “granting an emergency license to use the (Corona Vacc) vaccine produced by the Chinese company (Sinovac), after passing the necessary evaluation processes in the departments and laboratories of the Drug Authority, in accordance with the global and local rules followed to ensure the safety, quality and effectiveness of the vaccine.” According to a statement of the Medicines Authority, yesterday evening, “The number of vaccines that obtained an emergency use license from the authority reached five vaccines, after the emergency license was previously granted for the vaccines (Synopharma), (Coffeeshild-AstraZeneca), (Sputnik v), (AstraZeneca AZD1222) », explaining that« this comes within the framework of the executive powers of the Egyptian Drug Authority, which includes examination and analysis of medical and biological preparations, in accordance with international standards and references, to ensure the quality, effectiveness and safety of pharmaceutical preparations.

Egypt has so far received shipments of “Sinopharma” and “AstraZeneca” vaccines. Egypt confirmed earlier that it “succeeded in contracting 100 million doses, including 40 million doses that were signed during the Kovacs agreement in cooperation with the International Federation of Serums and Vaccines (JAVI), which will reach Egypt throughout the current year.” Cairo also announced the signing of “two agreements to manufacture the vaccine and transfer manufacturing technology with the Chinese company (Sinovac) to start manufacturing 40 million doses annually.” Egypt also granted approval for the Russian “Sputnik” vaccine.

In addition, the curve of “Covid-19” injuries continued to rise in the country, and the infections recorded “991 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus, and the deaths recorded 58 new cases.” According to a statement by “Egyptian Health”, “The total number that was registered in Egypt with the virus, until the day before yesterday, is 223514, including 167,900 cases that have been cured, and 13107 deaths.”

And the Egyptian Ministry of Health has identified the most common places where the virus infection is spread. And she said in an awareness leaflet that “the most common places for the virus to spread are shops, malls, cafes, cafes, restaurants, wedding and event halls, and all of them are places that, if citizens are found, are preferred to follow the precautionary measures as much as possible, because it is an opportunity for the infection to spread.” And he appealed to citizens “the necessity of keeping apart and wearing masks.”
