A clash between the Football Association, Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids due to the dates of the Egypt Cup matches

A clash erupted between the committee that runs the Football Association and officials of Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids clubs after announcing the dates for the 32 round matches of the Egypt Cup, as the clubs were surprised to hold matches during the month of February, although the committee had notified the clubs next March.

The three clubs objected to the dates due to the pressure of the matches, as Al-Ahly meets Smouha in the League on February 16 before facing Al-Nasr on the 19th of the Egyptian Cup, as well as Zamalek, who plays with Al-Ismaili on the 17th in the League and then Haras Al-Hodoud on the 20th in the Cup next to the links of the African poles Unlike Pyramids, who plays in Cote d’Ivoire against Racing Club on the 14th of the Confederation and then meets the crossing in the Cup on the 17th.

The tripartite committee that manages the Football Association sent letters to the clubs participating in the 32nd round of the Egypt Cup this season, and included a schedule of stadiums and dates for all matches, which will all be held at 2:30 p.m. The clubs were also notified of the terms of the Egyptian Cup matches in the 32nd round.

According to the letters, if the original time of the match ends in a draw, an extra time of half an hour is played in two halves, and if the extra time ends in a draw, a penalty shootout is used to determine the winner and qualified for the next round.

The letters also stated that the club mentioned first in the match schedule plays in its original uniform, and the other wears a reserve uniform, contrary to the original uniform, and the first mentioned club is responsible for the match balls as well.

The letters also mentioned assigning the regions to the organizational aspects of the matches, in terms of ambulances, civil protection, stadium boys and organizers.
