3 terrorists involved in the execution of a Copt by firing squad in Sinai

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced, on Monday, the killing of 3 ISIS terrorists who were involved in I.Coptic execution by firing squad in Sinai.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement, today, Monday, that 3 terrorist elements were involved in the killing of the citizen Nabil Habashi Salama, who were killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces in the El-Champions area in North Sinai.

Militants belonging to ISIS’s Sinai Province executed a Copt, who kidnapped him months ago, and published a video of his killing and execution, yesterday, Sunday.

Nabil Habashi Salama, 62, was executed by firing squad at the hands of ISIS members, 6 months after his abduction in the city of Bir al-Abd in North Sinai.

Last November, ISIS operatives kidnapped a Copt while he was walking on a street in the city, then stopped a car, stole it, and took the Copt in it, then disappeared until a video clip of the victim’s execution appeared.

For its part, the Coptic Orthodox Church headed by Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, named the Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, a Copt who was in charge of and contributing to the building and restoration of the churches of Sinai.

She added that she stands in solidarity with all the efforts of the Egyptian state to refute the hateful acts of terrorism, stressing that these acts will increase their determination and determination to preserve Egypt’s national unity.

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior stated that information was available to the National Security Sector about the presence of a group of terrorist elements involved in the killing of a Habashian citizen in the El-Abtal area in North Sinai and their undertaking to prepare and plan to implement a number of hostile operations targeting Coptic citizens, their properties, their places of worship, and the foundations of the armed forces and the police.

The ministry said that two terrorist elements were identified that were killed, namely the terrorist leader Muhammad Ziada Salem Ziada, whose nom de guerre is Ammar, and he is considered one of the most dangerous terrorist elements, and he undertook the preparation, planning and implementation of many terrorist incidents in North Sinai Governorate, and he was responsible for providing support The logistician for the terrorist elements, and the second is the terrorist Yusef Ibrahim Salim, whose nom de guerre is Abu Muhammad, who was involved in carrying out many terrorist operations, and who assisted the first in providing logistical support.

She added that the rest of the elements of that terrorist cell involved in the incident are being pursued, as they were identified: Jihad Atallah Salama Odeh, Ahmed Kamal Muhammad Shehata and Khaled Muhammad Salim Hussein.
